How to  become an Instructor

 

Are you looking to become a CPR Instructor? Central Valley CPR is hosting a Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (Instructor Course) 

Prerequisites: 

1) Have a current American Heart Association card in the discipline you wish to teach.  

  • Heart Saver CPR/AED & First Aid will only teach Heart Saver. 
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider can teach both Heart Saver & Basic Life Support Health Care Provider. 
  • (Red Cross certifications are not accepted). 

2) Purchase the appropriate Instructor Manual and Student Manual (Needed for steps 3 & 4). 

Steps to Become a CPR Instructor : 

1) Complete 'Instructors Essentials Online 

 2) Complete the Instructor course  

3) Successfully teach a course while being monitored  

(If you do not want to be monitored on the 2nd day, you have up to 6 months to choose an alternate monitoring date. Billing is $60/hr for monitoring on an alternate date. ) 

NOTE: There is no refund and class is non-transferable.
